URBAN SPLASH UNVEILS STUBBS MILL REGENERATION PLAN

Urban Splash has unveiled its plan for the regeneration of Stubbs Mill, a historic former textiles mill in the New Islington area of Manchester.

The building, which was originally constructed between 1880 and 1930, is undergoing an extensive overhaul by Urban Splash and will be ready for occupation in the summer of 2016.

Newly released CGIs are intended to show what the building will soon look like and how the developer, working with architectural practice SixTwo, has drawn inspiration from the building's original uses, retaining original features.

In total, Urban Splash is creating 27,500 sq ft of space with "raw, inspired offices" from 2,500 sq ft plus a communal, creative facility for tenants.

Urban Splash development manager Paul Jones said: "We are delighted to reveal these images and show prospective tenants what the building will look like upon completion in the summer.

"We are passionate about bringing heritage buildings back to life; as challenging as they are, Stubbs Mill will provide amazing spaces for interesting businesses."

Agents for the scheme are Bilfinger GVA and Edwards&Co.
