By developing significant expertise in the advancement and uses of defence technologies, the University of Birmingham claim to have advanced knowledge and proficiency in the development of defence technologies.
Research into both engineering and policy is currently allowing organisations that collaborate with the institution to benefit from access to the latest technology developments.
This wide range of research is demonstrating advancements in terms of military and civilian applicability. It focuses on both the security implications of the military's deployment of drones and how the can be used in both civilian and commercial operations.
