Area Sales Manager (Asia) - Competitive Basic + excellent uncapped commission + generous pension.

Our client is a world leader in their field now seeking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to be based in their Greater Manchester office. Supplying bespoke capital equipment to the manufacturing sector on a global basis, they have built an enviable reputation for delivering innovative, high value and bespoke products and aftermarket solutions within an industry leading client development framework.
This Area Sales Manager will cultivate an existing international network and simultaneously drive capital equipment sales of their unique products within specific global market territories. Through liaison with existing contacts and distributors 'on the ground' your brief will be to focus activities to facilitate high-level key account meetings for you to attend, ensuring no target sales opportunities are missed.
Main objectives are to:
* Develop mutually respectful relationships with customers and colleagues of different nationalities.
* Generate quotations within agreed profit margins.
* Stay constantly up to date with high-value machine specifications.
* Raise the profile of the company as well as contributing to marketing literature.
* Achieve sales targets within assigned territories. (South East Asia, Australia, NZ, Taiwan, Korea, Japan)
* Travel regularly for client meetings.
* Identify and develop new business relationships.
Educated to a high level with a good technical background, a mechanical engineering degree would be ideal, you should be a highly credible commercial operator who is confident in negotiation with high-level CEO & purchasing executives. Having sold within the Asian market, you will be familiar with export documentation and currency variation issues.
You will be fluent in English with excellent relationship building and social skills and will be happy to spend 50-60% of your time travelling in the designated territory (South East Asia, Australia, NZ, Taiwan, Korea, Japan)
